Understand how subscriber payments are processed, tracked, and reconciled in VillageHub.

Payment Flow

When a user purchases a package from the captive portal or admin panel, VillageHub handles the entire lifecycle — from payment initiation to package activation.

User Selects a Package

The subscriber browses available packages on the captive portal and selects one. They enter their phone number to initiate payment.

STK Push / Payment Request

VillageHub sends an STK push (M-Pesa) or payment request (ClickPesa/Paystack) to the subscriber's phone. The user confirms on their device.

The captive portal actively polls for payment status so users don't wait.

Automatic Package Activation

Once payment is confirmed, VillageHub activates the package instantly via RADIUS. The user gets internet access within seconds — no manual intervention needed.

Payment Reconciliation

All payments are recorded with full audit trails. View transactions from Admin PanelPayments.
