M-Pesa Setup

Set up Safaricom's Daraja API to accept M-Pesa STK push payments from your Kenyan subscribers.

You need a Safaricom Daraja developer account. Register at developer.safaricom.co.ke.

Create a Daraja App

Log in to developer.safaricom.co.ke → My Apps → Create a new app.

  • Enable Lipa Na M-Pesa Online (STK Push)
  • Note your Consumer Key and Consumer Secret

Go Live on Daraja

Apply for Go Live on the Daraja portal. Safaricom approves within 24-48 hours.

You need your Safaricom Business Shortcode (Paybill/Till) and Passkey from Go Live.

Enter Credentials in VillageHub

Admin Panel → Settings → Payment Integration. Fill in:

Consumer KeyFrom your Daraja app
Consumer SecretFrom your Daraja app
Business ShortcodeYour Paybill / Till number
PasskeyFrom Go Live process

M-Pesa is live!

Subscribers can now pay via M-Pesa STK push. Payments process instantly and packages activate automatically.
